Red face Duh

Ever go into a store looking all over for something. Finally see an employee and ask where the product was. The employee looks up at you and points behind you? Duh...
Thank you, glad I asked before I took the starter out

My bike has been running great. One day I killed it with the kill switch then it was like the battery was disconnected. I played with the key switch, kickstand to jiggle the switch and the kill switch again. Finally I jiggled the kill switch while a friend jiggled the wires to the kill switch by the bars. Finally the speedo lights all came on and it started right up. I since cleaned the kill switch but haven't been using it. I would check that kill switch. Good luck.

Go to the store just to check out the stock and 50 employees swarm you. When you really have a question "do you stock this and that?" nobody around. I use to work in restaurant way back, always had a meal. We characterized it a *waiter sense*. You don't have to ask for a ketchup bottle if the staff was attuned to the clientèle.

There's been enough bikers that have stopped at 7-11 etc. for a minute, and when they tried to start their bike, all power went off after they hit the start button. *All power went off* is a huge clue. Frequently, the culprit was simply a battery terminal that had worked itself loose. If not, total power lost is attributed to a loose connection on the heavy duty wire circuit. Possibly too the heavy duty wires are frayed at the crimps. Lift off the sheathing and inspect them under there.

If you're driving your old car and you hit the starter and all goes out for a few seconds and then it all comes back on, what do you do?

You go twist the battery cables.

After reading everyone else's issues with the numerous kill and safety switches, I never use the kill switch.

Check the kickstand that its not loose. Some have the shutoff switch if the stand is down and the bike is in gear. If it gets too loose it may trip it.
