I have no idea on any of your ideas. I wrapped the pipes and now it goes further on a tank. Same fuel, plain regular. Bike gets ridden daily to work so I've been putting miles on it. I bought it with 8900 miles or so and it's over 11,000 now. Engine is getting broke in and running better maybe on top of the scavenging effect mentioned?

I love this game!

I'm thinking the original pipes might have not been totally on correctly, which once they were removed, wrapped, and re-installed properly back on, it would have given him a performance boost

Ride paranoid. Don't let anything distract you.
Keep the paint side up, wear the lid & leathers.

Yep, no way just wrapping could help that much. There was a bad gasket, non seated gasket or something fishy there. Loose bolts on flange or clamps.

No Sig, someone whined and I lost it.. Crybaby....
