What does this plug do?

This plug in the valve cover is leaking a little bit of oil, not sure what it's for?

I pretty much have to order everything over the internet for my Shadow, I'm sure the plug is cheap but shipped won't be. Can I just pull that out, put some gasket sealant around it and stick it back in? Actually I'm not sure how that comes out, looks like it just pry's out?

Those are the cam bore plugs. And you have to take off the top of the engine to replace them properly. there is a ridge inside so they don't just slide out and back in.Mine leak worse than that and I just clean it off. Someday maybe a tear down.

That is the plug for the end of the cam bore, it's easier and more economical to bore through and plug the hole, the two screw caps above that use and Allen wrench are for the rocker shafts.

Eventually the light always fails you.

That is seepage surrounding the plug and it's totally negligible. Ignore it.

you can clean the area around the plastic plug with solvent then work some gasket sealer in behind the lip and let dry ! to do the real fix involves poping off the rocker cover and re-applying gasket sealer!

Sounds like a good idea. Taking the top off looks like it's not worth the effort to fix one plug.
