I detect some melting of the tundra. Street sweepers usually make their passes in April, but the pot holes are out of control. It will be a slalom every time us Long Islanders take to the streets. I've never seen the roads in this poor condition.

Tally Ho,

John

More snow in the forecast for Friday....
On a more positive note, the bay is no longer frozen so I can run the boat out to get some fresh clams

Yea, but it's 42 degrees now and melting fast. Soon we will be able to see grass.

Looks like winter is finally over!
I have been taking the bike to work when its not raining. Still a bit cold in the mornings but at least the road salt is gone. Next come the street sweepers to get rid of all the sand, then pot hole filling. Some of these pot holes around here can swallow you up. But I'm not complaining. Feels good to get the bike out again.
