Recommend any good Portland rides?

Know of a good ride around the Portland area? Trying to expand my repertoire.

Any ride that gets you out of Portland is a good one. Just came down from McMinnville to Florance. I would have done about anything to have been on my ace.

Hey ThrownOlive! I'm in Vancouver and just did Hwy 224 (Clackamas) out to Estacada. Then take 224 all the way south to Detroit Lake. Lots of fun twists and riding next to the river a lot. Plus up and over the mountains. About 200 mile ride round trip. Hit me up if ya wanna go sometime.

I live on Hayden Island and one ride I like is WA14 to the bridge of the gods and 84 back to I5. It's almost a 100 mile circle.

The old hwy to Vernionia is a fantastic ride! Right off hwy 30 and you can take country roads to the coast from there as well. Eagle and elk sanctuarys out around that area too.

Any good ideas for shorter rides for newbies?

I live out in Hillsboro, and still trying to get my riding legs!

From Hillsboro, the vernonia hwy is a nice ride. Can get there from hwy 26 or down cornelius pass to hwy 30 and get on around scappoose
