I did click the Abate of Georgia link, but didn't find anything there explaining what rights they were defending. That's why I asked. Maybe I'll just spend a few minutes and google it up.

Ya know?
Maybe "Rights" ain`t the proper wording here!
I don`t see anything in our US constitution about motorcycles, really

But back in the late 60s "anti-motorcyle" legislation was being passed through without justification...
Lawmakers decided to act without knowing anything about motorcycles or ever having ridden a motorcycle...
Therefore A Brotherhood Against Totalarian Extremists was formed, I joined in the early 70s when it started...

MRF is actively fighting legislation which COULD remove motorcycles from interstates and other thoroughfares, Fuel that will literally destroy engines and other legislation which affects us...

A little History on our Delmar Chili day I`ve beena posting this morning >

Yes Thank YOU to our dedicated members & officers throughout Georgia!!
Several districts were present...
ABATE of Georgia has been actively defending our Rights as Motorcycle Riders in Georgia, whether "Just passing through" or residents...

Yesterday was the first day of 2018 Legislation...
ABATE was there.
I was there!

As stated in my last comment MAYBE Rights ain`t the right wording here, but Profiling for example >
Some years ago, Unlawful Motorcycle ONLY Traffic stops for "Safety Inspections" as they called it...
Many travel through GA using I 10, I 75 & I 95 to Bike Week & Bike-tober fest and Thunder Beach Rallies...
Motorcycle ONLY Checkpoints were set up along these routes...

ABATE, Stopped this unlawful act...
Simply by giving them TOO MANY Motorcycles to inspect

I reckon I have a Right to travel by whichever vehicle & means I choose???
Is this a good example?

A lot of people get misunderstandings when discussing individual Rights...
Just like comments on NRA associated stuff...
A comment I read this morning, "Why should I purchase a permit for something that is already legal to do?"
"Lawmakers pass legislation which makes it so government can make Big Buck$ off it"
Laws are written, then legislators "Twist them into something totally different" > then we suffer!

Lets Ride,
D
