Never Rains in Texas

Well guys I figured out a way to end the drought here in Texas - buy a motorcycle and plan to ride it to work everyday. We haven't had rain in over a month, I buy my bike on Saturday and it has rained or had a chance of rain ever since.

Today was the only time though that rain actually stopped me from riding, usually when they say there is a 30% chance of rain it means that we may get a cloud to pass by, but it isn't going to rain. This morning it was lightening, thundering, and pouring rain so I opted to drive into work rather than ride.

Summer is just around the corner so that means we won't have any rain until November so I have months of riding ahead.

Just last year I moved to central Texas from Oregon. There if you waited for the rain to stop to ride you'd never get any riding in at all! I'm looking forward to some dry riding this summer!

They're saying monsoon season will be more normal so that late July into early Sept will be hit and miss.
