I bought an 86’ Nighthawk 450 about 8 months ago and had 10k mi on it. It was garage stored for 30 years before a mechanic cleaned carbs (and maybe other parts?) and coated the gas tank. I’ve put about 200 mi more ever since and it had no issues other than no cold start (in below freezing temp...

I have a 1986 Honda Shadow 500c. I currently put 87 in it and can get a solid 85 miles on the main before I have to switch to Reserve. I was wondering if 89 or 91 would get me any better MPG or performance or would a higher grade octane be better for the carbs or bike? Thanks Y'all for the help.
