How much should my chain Flex? it's flexes about an inch up and down

Probably 3/4 inch is a better max range. If you can pull the chain away from the rear sprocket at the back , the chain and sprockets are pretty well worn out.

Looks like 1 inch is good however.
I have a shaft drive so I am going by guess work what I thought I heard.
