So I thought my battery went bad at the end of last season. Bought and installed a new one. Rode about 40 miles the other day and when I got home the battery was dead yet again. Watched YouTube video on how to test stator but does anyone know what readings I should be getting ?

Seriously, if the video didn't tell you then you were watching the wrong one.
Try this.

Just for grins, why not test your regulator/rectifier while everything is disconnected?

You could fit one of these to monitor your battery voltage, as long as it reads something over 13v and under 14.8v while the engine is running your charging system is working ok.
