Does anyone know if theirs a resistor in the key ignition trying to figure out why my bike won’t start?

Seems to be injectors not pulsing.
Starts right up with fuel sprayed into throttle body and with injectors jumped straight to ecm.

I’ve replaced tilt sensor, harness, fuses & relays, fuel pump and filter, throttle body, (injectors), bypassed kickstand.
Did valve adjustment.
Regular maintenance, has spark.

Honda does have a security system called HISS and the key does have a chip. But I don't know if all have it in that year range.
The DTC may be the whole solution.
Do you have a manual for the bike?

Ok so codes are 7,8,9,29,12,13
Going to reset codes and if they come back up could it potentially be a timing problem? couldn’t find anything on service Manuel or online about the key ignition system.

If it is 7,8,9 then these are the circuits involved.
Maybe a bad harness or connections to those components.
I wouldn't think timing until all the computer inputs are satisfied.

Exactly, Capt. D, that was much easier back then.
Each system could be identified and fixed by itself.
If you had no spark, look in the distributor and the points.
If the timing was off, twist the distributor a little.
Misfire check the plugs and wires.
If you had no fuel there was a fuel pump easy to get at and test.
Nowadays the computer gets many inputs and figures out how much fuel, and when to fire the spark, and adjust the timing according to speed and load, and how far to open the throttle for idle speed, etc, etc.

Fuel pressure was the staring issue missing o ring on top of the pump where it sits into the bucket.
Still have bogging issues with new injectors,
Thinking of redoing the timing and the valve adjustment.

question when the Front is TDC and the camshaft sprocket is horizontal, does it matter what way the cam is facing? Noticed F and the B engraved.

also will the rear be offset to that 🤔

OG,

To answer your question seriously,

When the front piston is at TDC on the compression stroke, the cam lobes will always face downward, The F and B indent lines on the cam sprocket will be level with the head surface (with the alphabet letters in the upright readable position), and the stamped F on the camshaft facing up. If any of these are different rotate the crankshaft bolt 360° CCW.

At the same time you check these settings, the rear cylinder timing marks will be off by 305° or 412°, just according to which way you turn the crankshaft.

All of this is based on you not having already done a complete teardown of the cam systems and positions.

All of this information is available in the 750 AERO service manual available in the 'sticky' section of the forum.
