Hey guys So I just recently picked up an '84 VT700c, and my first task is to get the insides working perfectly. When I had it running on Wednesday, I could hear a lifter clicking, and it didn't want to shift into first gear. It didn't want to shift if the bike was on or off so I think that a previous owner probably bent a shift fork. How hard is it to tear the case in half? Also, I don't have a micrometer, or a dial caliper, so I figured I'd just check for loose and worn looking parts. Thanks.
