Terrific story. i too hope he gets what he wants for it. Imagibe getting to travel through all those countries.
Mr Jenkinson’s prized possession has been re-built three times to cope with new road laws and his challenging European tours through Germany, Belgium, Austria, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Albania, Macedonia, Czechoslovakia, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Hungary, Turkey and Greece.
I can't imagine getting that price. It's been rebuilt 3 times, redone the body work (non stock), non original tank, redone electronics and lights and hacked and whacked frame. It is hardly an original bike and would be an absolute bitch to restore. You can make anything old run that long as long as you replace the broken pats with modern ones. It's cool, but hardly a collector piece in my mind.
