I don't see a vent hose on the fuel tank, one large and one small hose to the secondary tank.

What is the purpose of the small hose?

Is the fuel cap vented?

I want to eliminate the secondary tank.

Why do you want to eliminate the secondary tank?

The cap is vented and the small line runs to an internal vent in the main tank for your reserve tank. If you eliminate the reserve, you'll have about .9 gal less fuel. Why eliminate it?

Yep, got that extra tank on the '82 Magna but it's all in great shape and since she's a flipper, I'm leaving it alone, haha. As for his wanting to remove the tank, I'd like to think custom. I always think custom. I'm going with custom.

OK, just got in now, going to answer a few questions.

The secondary tank is in very good shape.

I'm going custom with this bike, going to be like a bar hopper just for fun on short trips, so less fuel not an issue.

I have a larger bike for longer trips

Already removed the air box and installed pods and and bigger jets.

Removed the ugly rear fender and all the electrics are inside a custom box next to the battery.

Removed the rear tank that's why the question about the venting.

Made a lower custom seat with the same seat pan.

Re- bend the handlebar and now looks like mini apes

Very fun driving machine.

I'm doing all this because the bike was not original when I got it.

I don't have pictures yet because is not finished
