I just got the Clymer manual and there is no mention of the Neutral light switch. I took a quick look and can't find it on the tranny.
Also, the oil light does not come on. The highbeam light and turn signal lights work. The tach does not work either.
Can someone tell me where the neutral switch is on the engine?

Not even the fuel light?

Time to start checking fuses and ground connections!

No light come on when the key is turned. All fuses are good. I installed a used TACH since my bike did not have one attached. Lights in the tach and speedo work. and the other lights I mentioned work when turned on. Not sure if the OD light comes on since I am not riding the bike right now. Need to install a new Stator. Have a fresh battery and she starts right up. All turn signals and head/tail light and brakelight work.

I had to replace almost all of my dash lights when I bought my 84 VT700. Both lights and fuses if I remember right. They are cheap enough to have a few as spares.
