It sounds like it's a battery issue.
Ron it looks more like the first one, a bit different it does not have the square box in front but under it, and at the bottom is MR5 2, i was thinking the battery too, but why would the cluster lights and head light go on with the old solenoid but not the new one, (i tried 3 different ones) :-(On the new solenoids, are the letters in the pic below on the same right-hand, left-hand side, as the Oem solenoid? Note the difference on the second pic.

That's why I said I would put the old solenoid back on. Cant explain the light situation with the new solenoids but if the old one worked fine before killing the battery I don't see any reason to replace it.Ron it looks more like the first one, a bit different it does not have the square box in front but under it, and at the bottom is MR5 2, i was thinking the battery too, but why would the cluster lights and head light go on with the old solenoid but not the new one, (i tried 3 different ones) :-(
the old solenoid sounds like there is something loose in there when i shake it, the new one if from another shadow, they look exactly the same, i will pick up another battery and see if that helps, is reading 12.8 i dont think there is anything wrong with iy, i should pull the one from my other bikeThat's why I said I would put the old solenoid back on. Are you using a square red box to plug the harness wires into the solenoid?it looks .... a bit different
