Check the voltage on the battery... A trickle charger won't keep up with the power draw of the lights and running the bike electrically... You may need a new battery, or I could be completely wrong... I would check the voltage on the battery with the key off. Then check the voltage with you trying to start the bike with the original solenoid...

Ron it looks more like the first one, a bit different it does not have the square box in front but under it, and at the bottom is MR5 2, i was thinking the battery too, but why would the cluster lights and head light go on with the old solenoid but not the new one, (i tried 3 different ones) :-(

They may be the incorrect one.
