Hello, I am trying to replace my shift spindle as the owner before me welded the shift linkage back on to the splines and has a lot of play. I purchased a "new" spindle but I was unsure of how in depth this repair is and how to go about it. Does this require the motor to be out of the bike??? Please help. Thank you

At a minimum looks like you have to pull the flywheel.

Look up how to split the case Mid Nebraska Motorsports makes a great video on it and it's very informative granted the motor it out of the bike you can still do it with the motor in the bike. It's more of a pain but doable. Make sure you have a flywheel puller or a bolt that is 22x1.5
