As I promised in another thread awhile back, when I got my new headlight installed, I'd post up some pics. As you can tell in the pics, there's still snow on the ground here. But since yesterday was a nice day out (finally), I manage to get out for a ride.

Below are some pics of the bike with the new LED "Daymaker" headlight, mounted with a powder coated billet bracket, the flyscreen and the one piece riser top clamp.

...still a few more mods to follow.

Looks good. The temp here got up around +14 or so yesterday. Still lots of snow but I got out for a ride as we'll. stopped at the car wash on the way home and rinsed off the sand and salt before I put the bike back in the garage.

Hey there Thomasg. I am in the Moncton area still waiting for some snow to disappear. It must be nice to have a garage so you can get the maintenance done early so you are ready for the riding season. I have to do my maintenance outside. Might catch you on the roads some day.

That headlight looks great. Have you tried it at night yet? If so, do you notice an improvement in visibility?

It's barely been warm enough to ride around during the day!
So, no, haven't yet tried it at night...

That said, I found the stock headlight just slightly better than holding a candle in front of me while riding. I really can't imagine this headlight to be worse than stock. From the research I've done on them, I expect them to be a lot better at night.

Was too cold to ride today (again). Doesn't look like I'll be seeing any nice weather anytime soon.

Decided to swap a different mirror on today. Found the other one vibrated to much while riding...

Looks great!

I saw where you had sent me a PM, but alas: that function is still not working for me.

Like the light.

Like the way your mods look!. I have a question about your clutch and brake levers. Are they adjustable and where did you get them?
It's kinda funny, I've had those levers on my bike for a couple of years and only now a few members are starting to ask about them. Either way, I don't mind sharing the info. I got them on eBay. They were listed for a VTX1300. However, to the best of my knowledge, anything from a CBR600RR, CBR1000RR, CBR954... should all fit. I took a chance after going on BikeBandit and cross referencing part numbers for the lever and perches from various bikes. They bolt right on which is nice. Probably the easiest mod I've done.

Also, thank you for the kind words!
(I'm still a bit jealous of your Sabre wheels though...)

Well, I tried to install the new VTX1300 levers on my Shadow ACE 1100 today. While the clutch side fit with no issues, the brake side was not even close. The part that goes into the perch was a mm or so too thick, and honestly the entire part of the lever that engages the master cylinder didn't look right. So it's back to the drawing board. Anyone need some long VTX 1300 levers? LOL
