I have a couple of questions.

1. Adjusting the handlebars, rotating them up, so my knees don't hit the end of the handlebars, easy to do right? 4 bolts, loosen, rotate up, tighten. correct?

2. Verifying the Model of the bike with the VIN, is there a schedule somewhere that shows the breakdown of the VIN?

thanks in advance.

1. You'll want to be sure that your brake and clutch cables have enough play in them once rotated. And also make sure that you can still comfortable operate them both. Chances are you will have to rotate both assemblies once you have the grips where you want them.

2. Just plug in your VIN: http://www.motoverse.com/tools/vin/honda.asp
Or if you want the old school way, here's a chart: http://www.vsource.org/VFR-RVF_files/BVINSystem.htm

Google is your friend, easy peasy!

Proper torque on the handlebar upper holder bolts is 22 foot pounds. Under that can vibrate loose, over that bolts can fail. You want to get this right as "snug" means different things to different people.
