So my 2002 spirit 1100 transformation is nearly complete and as I'm looking around at my local harley shop I notice an aero 1100 outside and it has the speedometer in the headlight. I'm wondering if anyone has tried a swap like this or if anyone has any info on a headlight with a mechanical speedometer that may work. I could always buy a batwing to hide it all, but that'd have to wait til next year.

I think it would be a difficult swap. I have both an 1100 Spirit and an 1100 Aero and the headlights mount completely different. I'm sure it could be done but would likely require some machining. What I did with my Spirit was to mount a VTX headlight on it (they mount exactly the same), which really looks good, but that probably won't help you since you're interested in the speedo/headlight combo.

Yes, my main goal is to "clean up" the bars and i am having trouble even finding the headlight
