thanks very much for your reply. A mechanic friend of mine is getting this bike servicable for me. I don`t think it is the rubber boots more the rubber air intake from the top of the carb to the frame with a mesh fitting. I found one only in Holland, i think he is going to fabricate the other one from some hose, both ends are a different diameter. if you know of another one great. many thanks

i understand the part i need is `Tube B, Air/C.CONN part number 17257MK7000
or somebody who can make one
