2000 Shado Ace 750 14k: Woke up to small coolant leak coming from the waterpipe seal. Looking at the CLYMER repair man looks like a loosen slide replace seal operation. God I hope im right otherwise its in a hell of a spot. have you replaced these seals ? HELP. Btw are these a auto parts house item or Honda specific dealer/mail order item.

Very easy to do. Just need to remove the "Faux" fins on the tip of the heads and get yourself some long needle nose pliers and some dental floss and vaseline. And of course the new gaskets.
Cant I losen the clamps slide for and aft and replace said o rings ? Wen reinstalling is vaseline needed ? Is there a thread with pictures ?

Definately gona try. Found out its pretty comon, one of the coments said the dealer wanted 600$ for this job ,sounds exessive then again theres no such thing at a dealership.

$600 Honda Buck$???
LLLL Bring it over, I`ll show you how to, for nothing!!!
Of course, you can leave a donation, if you feel so moved...

The 2000 is the same Bike as mine...
I did NOT have any issue with removing both clips, sliding the tube forward to install the rear "O ring" then sliding it rearward to install the front....
Lubrication was helpful in sliding the tube with new "O rings" though...
I made ""Special tool # 321678"" for installing the "O rings" onto the tube...
It consisted of two pieces of small gauge wire hooks, long enough to grab and maneuver the "O rings" into position...

Including Getting the bike onto the lift, reading the sticky and fabricating ""Special tool #321678"" = 45 minutes TOPS!
Do you remember the size of the o rings , can i pikum up at the hardware store or autozone ?

Yeah it darn incorrect that made it look like boring instead of oring. Yeah and looks like I will be having to does to the wife's 02 vt750dc spirit. It only seems to leak after it has sat for a bit and leak just enough to make 4" circle on the ground and then stop. So it looks like I will be doing this sooner than I thought, and I might as well do it on my 02 sabre at same time so I don't have to worry about it later
Good idea, I deviated from the istruc video a little in that I did move the man choke out the way but I used a long pair 18" of needle nose and a small 90° gun cleaning pick to hold and stretch the ring with the pick or push it around back and over the water pipe insted of the dental floss. Cause I didnt have none.
