IF you`re talkin` about the "crossover tube" it ain`t too bad of project of 45 minutes...

I THINK there`s a sticky on it too...

The 2000 is the same Bike as mine...
I did NOT have any issue with removing both clips, sliding the tube forward to install the rear "O ring" then sliding it rearward to install the front....
Lubrication was helpful in sliding the tube with new "O rings" though...
I made ""Special tool # 321678"" for installing the "O rings" onto the tube...
It consisted of two pieces of small gauge wire hooks, long enough to grab and maneuver the "O rings" into position...

Including Getting the bike onto the lift, reading the sticky and fabricating ""Special tool #321678"" = 45 minutes TOPS!

Glad you got it fixed, even without my reply to your size question...
but to answer > Nope, I bought `em from Honda and didn`t worry about it...
