Hey everyone I have a 09 Honda shadow spirit bars are sitting I believe at 6 inches
I bought 12 inch apes and I want to see if anyone has gotten their cables from motion pro. Basically I’m looking for a cheat sheet to see what sizes someone else used.
Thanks
I have a '09 shadow spirit too and know the risers are something like 5-51/2 " tall and about 3" of sweep.
You could get some lower risers that would lower the apes and allow use of stock cables.
Cheap stubby HD clone raisers plus some adaptor studs might be cheaper than the caple set, and remember, you have to also extend the wires too
And to me wires that don't follow the bars out to the switch pods look like crap.
Stubby risers and apes may not be the look you are going for, it has to be the look, as apes are never comfortable.
You'll know this after you get the install all figured out/spend the money/do it and ride them.

thats pretty much exactly what I did I bought 1 inch risers to replace the 5 1/2. When I tried to install everything back on the wires were for sure to short which I was going to run inside the bars anyway. But the hydraulic brake line was short along with everything else. I think may have been rushing it I’ll have to try again. Plus the way I positioned the bars were a little more forward. Lol Im mechanically inclined but still new to working on my bike. And what did you mean by adapter studs? Went right over my head.
Most risers have 1/2x13 threads in the bottom and 1/2" studs won't fit thru the dampening bushing in the top triple tree, so adaptor studs that are stepped down to 10mm are needed.
Some mussle thru the bushing with a 1/2" drill to mount the risers with 1/2x13 studs because the don't know about the adaptor studs sold on ebay.
Here's a link to those studs:
just sayin'

um, a legend
o_O
edit: went to that link and watched vids of him riding and he had an lead/escort SUV in everyone, probably to block anyone from pulling out in front of him and needing to apply brakes.
OP sorry for the drift.
