How do I remove the air filter??? The air box looks like it has chrome caps on it but I tried to pop them off and expose a screw but that didnt seem to work

Any suggestions...

Very clean looking !! The caps on the air box are just that, plastic caps that are pushed in to the tops of the allen head screws that actually hold the air box cover on. They can be pried off with anything thin and stiff such as an old steak knife. If you are patient, they can be reused. If they get damaged or lost, they are available on ebay. I have and 86 as well.
