Getting ready to do some traveling, and am relatively inexperienced in long distance riding. I was wondering if anyone carries extra gas with them somehow and what some of the techniques are. After googling the subject, I came up on a great site called www.tourtank.com that looks like some great aux tanks to extend stops between gas stations. I also heard of someone who carries a couple bottles of camping fuel bottles filled with gas. I wonder what the safety aspects of this are. If you're interested though, make sure to check out tourtank.com. They look like some great products.

I have used the 2 gallon one that looks like a roll bag for a year now. I had to make my own mounts, the one that is supplied is junk. From what I understand the beer keg looking ones have better mounts.
Thinking about mounting a 5 gallon fuel cell from Jegs or Summit. That would give decrease fuel stops.
