Hi

just got a Sabre 1100 whats the best proper way to lift the wheels of thr ground?? I always used the harbor freight bike lift on the frame on my Suzuki but I thing the sabre engine sticks out too much for the lift rails...

I had gotten this idea from this site and it has worked like a charm for me. Start with one jack stand under the right peg mount, tip the bike up on that one, then slide a jack stand under the left peg mount. And voila, the front is off the ground. Then I use my hydraulic jack to lift the rear tire off the ground.

As it happens, I took the wheels off this evening for new sneakers and bearings tomorrow.

Welcome to the forum! For my spirit, I made wood spacers for the lift rails. Makes for plenty of clearance and doesn't scratch the paint.
