7 inch extensions are very long. Since you didn't say who's extensions you installed giving any suggestions is pointless.

Ummm...title of the post says Scootmods... I don't see an edit...

When you say it's too far for you to reach, do you mean it's leaning forward or the travel is more than it used to be? Have you adjusted the turnbuckles?

I would also agree, 7" sounds like you need a bigger bike. If you're 6'1, you shouldn't need anything more than about 3".

I'd call ScootMods. I installed the 6" extensions on my VLX600. I had to call them and they were very nice. I"m sure they'll give you suggestions. I had to adjust my rear brake to bring it up toward my foot.

for my bike 7 was the shortest they made because of the pipes. i will get another bike soon and then this one will become a bobber, but until then i have to make it work.

Perhaps put an extension on top of the brake pedal to bring it back closer to your foot. I've seen it done in cars for people of shorter stature.

I did not know scoot mods made a 7" extension.

This thread has me pretty interested. I am looking to buy forward controls for my phantom. I see they don't offer the 6 inch on their website anymore, but they do offer them on Ebay. I am 6'0, 32 inseam. Are they 6 inch controls going to be too much? Should I go with the 4?
