Greeting folks,

Sometimes when I start my bike I notice the headlight doesn't come on, trial and error has shown me if I just bump the start button the light comes on and stays on fine. Obviously there's a loose connection somewhere. Any ideas on easiest/quickest way to track it down, or to fix it?

Bike is 2007 VT1100C.

Thanks guys and have a great week and Happy Thanksgiving!

Tech sticky ++> Switch cleaning 101 ;)
Dirty contacts inside the start button could cause this and I think IF you clean it, it will perform for years uninterrupted...
Mine has,

I use the start button to turn off the headlight for various reasons...
Only temporary & NOT surefire, but "Quickie" fix is to press and release the switch numerous times while spraying contact cleaner through the switch button openings surrounding it, in hopes some gets where it`ll do some cleaning...
Best fix is Switch cleaning 101,
