I've posted several threads now praising the cheaper prices for stuff from the USA, even with exchange and shipping/customs/brokerage.
As always, there are exceptions to every rule and here is one.
I just bought a RoadKrome luggage rack for my Sabre locally here for
Cdn $ 129.99 tac inclusive.
Last night I surfed for the same item and from the USA the exact same item would've cost US $ 129.99 plus shipping of about US $ 30 for a total of US $ 160 which equals about Cdn $ 200.- plus taxes (14%)
The moral of my story is that it ALWAYS PAYS to shop around!
Happy Sasquatch :D :D :D , looking forward to his cross Canada trip this July.
Freshly retired and all kinds of time - will find out how the money situation works out

Yup - I agree. I am looking for the ICON Mil-Spec vest. Online $50 + $10 or more for shipping..in US funds. Local, $49.99 CDN. Not a BIG difference, but always something.

All in all... good point !

I agree with your shop around policy. Aso we need to understand that local dealers are not excited about doing repair work on a local bike that is dripping chrome accessories they did not supply. I have learned that if you have to return ship to the U.S. the savings rapidly disappear.Example I have a nice chrome front fender rail that was a real bargain but it fits a Sabre not my Aero.
