When I moved to Colorado years ago I had to rejet the carburetor on my
All of my cars for high altitude . Still have some older carburetor cars. My question is the shadow I have is a 1996 with a carburetor that is from the east coast do I need to rejet the carburaters or do any retuning for high altitude ?
I plan on doing road trips into the mountians , some of the passes are above
10 thousand feet above sea level . I also had to change the air to gas ratio
For a leaner mixture . Do the same rules apply to motorcycles so that there is
No decrease in power , gas mileage , and performance ?

Yes.
Don't quite follow that sentence but a carb'ed gas engine is the same no matter what it is on or in.
Some test rides should tell you if there is a problem or not, severe enough that mods are needed.

If bike is stock you may need to adjust the pilots a little, but rejet is not required for altitude adjustments. Shadows are jetted quite lean from the factory. Most of my recreational riding is done 5000-8000 feet, I'm jetted rich, no issues. Granted I live at 300 feet.
