I have a 2000 vt600 vlx and am just wondering the purpose of the two vacuum lines that run from the top and bottom of the intake manifold to the carb? Couldn't find a proper diagram with them labeled.

Unless it has been modified they could be vacuun supply for the auto petcock and the evap system valves for purging to the cannister. But I have an old bike with none of that so may not be the best help.
Check this view.

If you can pull one end off see if there is coolant in it. Your bike may have these coolant hoses for carb heat.

I'll check it could be a return, though I'm not sure why it would go through the intake manifold. There is another line coming straight from that radiator to the carb that I would assume would be the feed.

I just thought about how thick the hose was with strong clamps on the ends like it needed to seal liquid.
