I received a birthday gift of a Jeep namebranded backpack which appears to be a good one...
Not being a backpacker, I MIGHT use it on trips, rather than the seabag I currently use...
However, this new backpack will not hold the tent, sleeping bag and clothing for a week

2nd this. Great backpack, all weather, good rubber lining, 3 pockets inside it (main plus two side), massive storage in the lid plus additional "pouch". The straps are fully adjustable and hold well, plus it's padded for a passenger. And it's truly waterproof.
