So I ordered EBC's FA196HH Sintered brake pads and they wouldn't fit the bike even though I have checked multiple websites. I went to the local shop and we ordered EBC's FA196 organic pads and they still wouldn't fit. There's not enough room to fit both pads in the caliper. I have changed multiple motorcycle brake pads and followed the service manual and youtube with no change. Do I have the correct pads or am I and the reputable shop wrong? 02 Honda Shadow VT600CD Deluxe.

If the pads aren't sliding in because there is too small a space for both, the caliper piston may be hangiing up. Sometimes just pumping them back out a short ways, and loosening the bleeder screw and squeezing them back in may get them to the bottom. It is not an aftermarket rotor just a bit thicker is it?

Should be a 2 piston caliper. Make sure both piston are pushed in at the same time. Use 2 C clamps but don't force it.
