I have a 06 vt750dc. I am changing out the stator and lost the washer that goes with the clip on the top of the drive sprocket cover. Does anyone know what size this washer is so I can run to the hardware store and look for one?

It is #5 in the picture

If you can come by a shop manual it might give you a part number that you can reference for specs on the google machine. I am rebuilding a bike right now and thats the only way I have found parts and pieces.

Here, it says:

WASHER (9.5MM)
90504-MAH-000

So that is about 3/8" (9.5mm = 0.374")
The outside diameter (OD) could be smaller than an SAE washer and should be about the same as the rubber cushion in the assembly.
Most hardware stores have assortments where you can find that washer, I'm sure.

Are the part numbers listed at the beginning of the sections? I have the online Honda manual bookmarked and didn't see anything on the alternator section

The rubber, in my cover at least, seems like it's stuck in the cover pretty well...could be a lot of grim build up though because the lower part (#12) that the clymer manual says can be lost came off with the cover.

Crisis averted! Found the washer hiding on the lip if my lift.

As I read instructions, I see it is adjustable which Hi / Lo shines where in the optics of the headlight lens ...

That's why I like Ron Ayers over Partzilla, Ron shows little schematics of the parts, not just words for every section.
