The wires may be warm as it charges the battery. The regulator gets hot also as it controls the charge rate. Check the 3 yellow wires at the connector to the regulator since they are well known to burn the connection.
Most eliminate the plug altogether and just solder and shrink wrap, or use good crimp connectors on the three yellow wires. Do a search in the box at the upper right "3 yellow wire connector" and you'll find more info than you'll need to know.
Had an occasional whistling noise at idle, after the bike has warmed up. it goes away if I crack the throttle just a bit. No whistle while in motion. Not related to fan motor. Could be coming from exhaust at cylinder head(?). It was happening last summer- had the pipes off to work on clutch...
Im not really a big fan of the tank mounted gauges on more recent Shadows, Was wondering if theres any kind of aftermarket kits, or mods I can look into to replace the gauges with something handlebar mounted and get a cleaner, more classic looking tank.
My bike was recently tipped over and lightly landed on the handlebar which bent a little. So, I am planning on using Drag Specialties’ buffalo 1 1/4” ape hangers (8.5” height). Will the stock cables have enough clearance?
