What experiences have ya'll had with either of these processes? How well do they work and how durable are they? Also, what tips do you have for building your own pipes? Thanks in advance for your help!

I had been thinking the same thing. I have been told that the wrap holds up better and is better for what you will pay.

I went with the exhaust wrap mainly because I like to ride in shorts in the summer and kept burning my leg on the hot pipe. I don't think it looks that good but I can live with that.

You can wrap what ever exhaust you want. Here's mine wrapped. Cost $25 shipped for $50 did both sides with about 6 feet left over. Keep in mind, my pipes are reaaaaaaaly short compaired to most.

Thanks. And its so mich easier to clean than chrome pipes, i just dont clean em at all. Or the bike really for that matter. I made it to ride, not clean. Bonus the heat wrap holds heat in very well, i can touch my pipes after a ride. Not grab and hold on to them, bit grab em for a bike. Should keep legs cooler in summer too
