Exhaust wrap vs. paint

What experiences have ya'll had with either of these processes? How well do they work and how durable are they? Also, what tips do you have for building your own pipes? Thanks in advance for your help!

Id go with the heat wraps man, they look cool and they give your headers the scavenging effect which helps with back pressure and power.
