ONe member gracioiusly directed me to a site that would tell me about the parts on my 88 Honda Shadow VLX 600. It shows the bottom fastener as a flange bolt. But it feels square underneath the rubber cap. I assume I use a wrench to remove this, but I'm not sure. Sorry for this dumb question. I just don't have anyone else to ask. Thank you.

There is only one screw that holds the radiator cover on.
Those rubber **** at the bottom are just locators and they do not need to come off.
On the top of the radiator cover, you'll see a single phillips head screw (unless someone has replaced it with something else).
Remove that screw, tilt the cover slightly outward from the top and
push down.
The cover should pop right off.
Those rubber **** center in two holes in the cover and they are there to
keep the cover from buzzing and vibrating.
