Thank you, I am a proud owner of my first bike Honda 1100 saber and I dont have a fuel gauge and that information helps, I have a 4.5 gallon tank. Do you know how many miles you get on the reserve?
I have a Sabre and I average about 45mpg, usually about 120 miles or so before I hit reserve. Reserve is .6 of a gallon.

Old, yes. Still good info. What's embarrasing is to have it sputter, reach down and find it already ON reserve,,,

I've tried to keep the habit of leaving it on reserve when I fill up, just in case I get some water with the fuel. The water would get pulled into the lower reserve port in the petcock that way. Better to find out immediately than 150 miles later when switching to reserve. That way I can drain the water off the bottom and still have fuel. Also try to remember to shut it off when I get home after filling up. That way I don't accidently leave it on reserve,,,
