need a memory refresher .
fuel mix : out = richer
in = lean ?

air mix : out = more
in = less ?
stock setting = 2 1/2 turns on both?
mine: [email protected] pipes with baffles in
3 turns both A/F
still bad popping on decelelartion
exghaust manifold bolts tight n dry
carbs nice n clean
seafoam made no diff...

There is either a fuel mixture screw or air mix screw on carbs, but on these CV carbs it is a fuel mixture screw. Out= Rich
Aftermarket pipes with no crossover connector will pop a lot more than a factory muffler with a crossover.

i have 2 mixture screws per carb on mine..one is close to cylinder ..other is closet to air box intake boot...

Sorry I never heard of that set up. Did you say which bike you have?
Usually there is only one low speed mixture adjustment .
There are several screws exposed however .
1 is the mixture screw
2 is the float bowl drain screw.
3 is the vacuum port to sync the carbs.
Besides the big plastic knob for idle speed.

86 1100 vtc... no sir the bowl drain screws are below both bowlls...i failed to mention the brass plugs have been drilled out exposeing the adj. screws
