Can anyone tell me if the threads are the same for the petcock on a 92 vt1100c as on a shadow from th late 90's that exits straight down instead of 90degrees off?(straight toward the back of the bike)

My first guess would be if the hole it screws into is the same size, then it is very likely the same thread.
