This is for an 87 shadow 700, but likely applies in general to all bikes with a center stand. are there any "tricks" to getting them on their center stand?

Roll the rear tire up on a piece of 1X (that means 1") and you can pull it up on the centerstand with 2 fingers. 5/4 decking board works great.
