Just completed my required Basic Rider Course a few weeks ago. Purchased a 2003 Shadow 600 VLX Deluxe. It is in pretty good shape.

Welcome to the forum, Chip! You'll like the vlx deluxe, it's a comfortable ride. I'd still be riding mine if the wife hadn't decided she wanted in on the fun. The spirit suits my needs a little better now with the additional HP and carrying capacity.
