Hey Shadow Peeps,
I finally got the ol' B with an itch Spirit running and back on the road (knock on wood). I took her out for a test ride to the gas station for a fresh tank. Other than some minor tweaks I need to do, she ran well. However... ~laughing~.... When I got home, I noticed black, thin hose hanging lower than it should under the bike. When my hand touched it, the sucker fell completely off. Now, I know there's 3 hoses that hang out down there. One is clear and goes to the battery. I'm not sure (or don't remember) about the other 2. Logically, I would guess is with the cooling system. What's the 3rd one all about??

If it has a removable plug in the end it is the crankcase vent system and it needs to be drained of the liquids periodically and re-plugged.

You also should have a vent hose for your fuel tank, on some models they have a plastic Tee in the middle of that line so it could be the other end of that line coming off the tee. It shows the vent line here #18 & 37
