Yes all it said was Yarmouth. I could assume it is Massachusetts considering the Massachusetts Motorcycle Association is apposed to the idea, but I wanted to make sure. That's all.

Can't imagine they have a ton of organized rides in Yarmouth, but i might be wrong. These rides are usually for a very good cause... .e.g. Suicide Prevention, Disabled Vets, Cancer research, fallen Officers families, on and on. Plus if they are in or around a town they generate a lot of dollars for local businesses. So what it's noisy...get over it. For Poker runs and such 'fun' events, I can see where the event organizers might be smart to have them out of town. One of the larger rides around here is in August for a local fallen Officers family. Folks sit in chairs along the route and wave flags. 95% of the route is out in the countryside, but 500 to 1000 bikes ride through the city for a good hour or so and folks seem to enjoy it. Heck, even the Mayor speaks at the event.

I can not see a town or what ever you call the place putting restrictions on local, state and federal highway's.

Just does not pass my smell test. BS maybe.
Well, in the North East anyway (not sure about the rest of the country), the towns and cities 'own' the local roads in every sense of the word. They build them, and they maintain them. Then there are county roads, state roads, and Interstate highways which they do not build and maintain. I really don't think this is a 'road' issue in as much as it's a local municipality/town ordinance issue. Bottom line is the old farts in the town of Yarmouth don't like the bikers or their noise.

A call to ACTION!!!

If you are a Yarmouth rider, then Mass Motorcycle urges you to protect your “Right to Ride” by attending and voting against these restrictions on May 2, 2015 at Town Meeting. The battle is not over and we cannot rest simply because the Selectmen made their recommendation to oppose this article, the town residents will have the final say.

OR just sit back & do nothing like at nearly 80% of motorcycle riders do...

I don`t like to be blindsided!
Thanks for this call to Action CrazyDave...

Lets RIDE

Lets NOT let NON-riders make rules & regulations regarding our Freedom of the Road!!

AND to speak for myself =>
Loud Pipes may save lives, but in the hands of the wrong "throttle happy fools" - can cause this type discrimination against us too...
