I'm new but this is my first bike and after a lot of research, Me and my dad made a heel to toe shifter. We started with a step off of a Ford F150, then we cut out a piece of the step, made a out line and started to grind away. Our first try it would not let the bike shift into second but we grinded some more and bolted it at a higher angle. it shifted right. We then took it off polished the piece put it back on and that's it.

Excellent work, very nice to see, especially since I've been toying with the idea of adding one to mine. By step, do you mean the side steps under the cab?

This is what we used the side connecting to the spot your foot steps on gave me a perfect angle!!

Nice job..... Looks great!
To be honest, the finished product doesn't look home-made at all.
