Hi there!

I own a wonderful 1994 VT1100 C.

The only thing not wonderful is trying to get a set of saddlebags for it.

I've been looking at the HELD range, and the Virginia bags have mount kits for VT1100 C2 available. From the pictures on bikez.com the C and the C2 seems identical on the rear, so I'm hoping the VT1100 C2 kit will fit...

Can someone enlighten me as to the differences between C and C2? Is my project sheer insanity?

regards,

Peter.

The VT1100C2 is the Sabre.
The VT1100T is the A.C.E Tourer
The VT1100C3 is the Aero.
If that helps you any.

I have a 1997 SHadow Ace 1100, and it is a VT 1100 C2
:? I have an OEM service manual for the 2001 VT1100 Sabre and it states that the manual covers service work for the Honda VT1100C2 Sabre :?: :?:
I'm pretty sure the VT1100C2 is the Sabre.

I also did a search on Yahoo for VT1100C2, the references that I got back were for the Sabre.

This should shed some light on the situation.

Some interesting reading can be found here on the different Shadow models:

The History of the Honda Shadow

1997-2004 VT1100 C Shadow Spirit
1995-1999 VT1100C2 Shadow 1100 American Classic Edition*
2000-2004 VT1100C2 Shadow Sabre
1998-2002 VT100C3 Shadow Aero
1998-2000 VT1100T Shadow 1100 American Classic Edition Tourer

*Except for color and decal changes, the CT1100C2-2 and VT1100D2 models are the same motorcycle as the VT1100C2 Shadow 1100 American Classic Edition.
