I am having front axle issues on my VT800 1988. We are currently on a trip and stopped right now. I am desperate to fine a picture of the front axle at the fork area on both sides.

If you have a good, clear pictures please post them.

Tried, its not helping much. Somehow the two nuts at the bottom end of the right side fork came loose and the bottom half moon bracket that mounts to the fork to hold the axle had slidden to the outside edge of the axle. I dont think the fork is to be out that far.... I thought it was to be in more on the axle bushing. I'll have to see someone's picture to know for sure. Wish there was a honda shop nearby.

Be easier if you post a pic of what you are seening. Then we could say what needs to be done. Is the axel loose???????

I'll get that picture posted. The axle is not loose just the fork clamp at the bottom of the fork. It looks as though the fork is too far out on the axle.

there's a good honda shop in russellville but i don't know how much that will help you >.< are you in the Pig trail area or further east?

I am further east. I bolted it back down again and rode slower. I have the pictures attatched but I dont think it looks correct.

Loosen the fork caps and tighten the axle, retighten fork caps. That looks like the axel is working its way out. You dont need a HONDA shop and motorcycle shop and most auto repair shops, will do in this case.
